EXPLANATORY NOTE
The student who is named above is a member of this National Sample of 5000 young people who have been followed up since their birth in 1946, through the generous co-operation of Local Education Authorities, schools, school medical officers, school nurses, and of the Youth Employment Service. The present study is concerned with the vocational training and further or technical education of those members of the sample who have left school. It is being supported by a grant from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.
At a recent interview with this student, held on our behalf by a Youth Employment Officer, it was learned that he has attended your college for the course outlined below. In order to complete our information about his studies we should be most grateful if you would provide us with some facts about the college and the course of study involved, even if he has now left college.
All information given will be regarded as strictly confidential and there is no possibility of the name of the college, or of the student, appearing in any report.
