The fifth sweep of the Millennium Cohort Study took place during 2012 when the cohort children were aged 11 and in their final year of primary school. The survey included interviews with both parents (where co-resident), cognitive assessments and physical measurements of cohort members, a self-completion questionnaire for cohort members and a survey of class teachers in England and Wales. The final number of productive interviews achieved was 13,287.
